根據《鏡報》報導，英國一對夫婦家中突然出現了一張十幾年前的火車優惠票，火車票歷經多年仍保存良好。夫婦為此感到詭異外，也想為此車票詢得主人。
瑞安·奧馬（Ryan Omer） 及哈里特·亨特（Harriet Hunt）夫婦在家中廚房發現一張比他們年齡還大的火車票。哈里特在Facebook發文尋求此謎團的解答，她說這張卡是新的，上頭並未有髒污、十分整潔，並不像我們的抽屜裡的其他舊東西。仔細看後發現這並不是一張火車火車優惠票，而是1988年的火車一日券。她接著說她丈夫的火車卡放在他口袋裡，他們對於這個火車卡怎麼出現在家裡的毫無頭緒。

「除了我們跟我們兩歲的小孩在家裡之外沒別人了。」哈里特說，她的確有一些古老家具但只有一個從羅姆福德買來的衣櫃，她五個月前買來的時後才把它從頭到腳整個清過一次，因此懷疑可能夾藏在那裡面。
貼上Facebook後立即有人指出之中怪異之處，此一日票的日期是1988年8月8日（8/8/88）；也有人告訴這對夫婦去買樂透，因為8在中文諧音代表著「發」；有個靈媒甚至告訴哈里特那是一個來自天使及靈魂的訊息。
當被問到有沒有什麼奇怪的事發生，哈里特說唯一奇怪的事是他們兩歲的女孩最近開始頻繁地跟一個叫做佩羅德（Pedro）的的人講話。哈里特說希望這只是一個隨機的名字給她的「假想」朋友取的，而不是鬼。

雖然在2014賽季之後就不曾在先發出賽，不過陳鴻文本戰的表現可說是出乎大家意料之外的老，他在前4局的投球只被敲出2支安打，同時飆出4次三振，沒有失分的完成任務退場。

9局下，富邦派出郭泓志上來關門，他雖然投出兩次保送，讓對手攻佔得點圈，還好之後連續飆出2次三振，還是幫球隊守下勝利。
